A Nashville native, Dudley Smith has been involved in site planning, engineering,
design and development since 1978. Prior to co-founding CPS Land, Smith served
as vice president of land acquisition, land planning, design
and development for Fox Ridge Homes, a Brentwood, Tennessee-based
home building and real estate company that has developed over
40 Middle Tennessee communities. At Fox Ridge Homes, he was
responsible for identifying land, overseeing land acquisition,
and managing all infrastructure design and development of
more than 3,000 Fox Ridge Homes, including five town home
communities.
Smith is also president of Villages of Mount Juliet, Inc.,
a Nashville-based land investment company.
He began his career in this field as vice president of Cumberland
Tectonics and Southern Consultants, a local planning, engineering
and landscape architecture firm.
Mr. Smith is an engineering graduate of Southern Polytechnic
State University (formerly a division of Georgia Tech).
